The black lives matter movement is an internationally recognized activist movement, originating in the African-american community, that campaigns against violence and systematic racism against black American people. the movement was founded on the 13th July 2013 by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi. The movement was founded in hopes to end police brutality against black American people, providing a safe platform for black people to express themselves. The movement gives a voice to black people that have for years been deprived of their human right to live free from discrimination. With the founders of the movement being American and most of its activities taking place in America, the question that comes to mind is are African lives included in the black lives matter movement?.
